Romans 12 invites each of us to embrace our life's calling with passion and purpose. Paul highlights the beauty and significance of relationships, reminding us that unity is essential for living out these teachings. He reminds us of the joy and fulfillment that come from working together and fostering harmony to fulfill God's divine plan. The chapters that follow address the struggles within the church in Rome, highlighting strained friendships, fading love, and growing pride. There was an urgent need to rekindle their love for one another, as love is the heartbeat of ministry. Much of Romans offers heartfelt guidance on truly loving one another. At the core of this advice is a reminder to shun insincere love and embrace true, wholehearted love. This passage vividly depicts what love should not be and beautifully illustrates what true love ought to be in just a few short words. Clinging to what is good nurtures true love, which is born from a heart transformed by Jesus.
